The walk is a total of 7 miles with a break for lunch at the halfway point. We recommend walking boots or trainers for this walk. Do bring some kind of waterproof and some water and snacks preferably in a small rucksack. Do bring water with you, especially if it is a warm day. The walk takes you along the wonderful Monsal Trail, originally the main Derby to Manchester railway line, but since its closure in 1968 it provides easy access to an otherwise inaccessible area. This walk will take you along to Tideswell Dale, where you will stop for lunch, & then back to Millers Dale across fields and stiles, typical of the White Peak countryside.
