| The walk starts at the little village of Longnor where there is a small parking area and spaces around the village and public toilets. We would then walk down from the ridgetop into the dale which is surrounded by strange shaped hills such as The Sleeping Dragon - they are reef knolls, and were created millions of years ago when the area was under the sea. We walk across the upper reaches of the river Dove and beside the Sleeping Dragon and onto ancient tracks and pathways in the hills, dropping down to the most fabulous preserved packhorse bridge. |
