Starting at Longshaw Lodge in the National Trust car park (S11 7TZ - grid ref 268800). We will follow fabulous paths across the heather-clad moors to Carl Wark before dropping down a wonderful woodland path to Hathersage with a quick detour to the grave of Little John of Robin Hood fame.
We will call at the Robin Hood Inn for a hot meal before setting off on a riverside path to Padley where we will pass Padley Chapel which is steeped in history.
You will also see the entrance to Totley tunnel - the longest railway tunnel in England apart from the Channel tunnel! We may even have time to call in at the remote 'greasy spoon' railway cafe before heading off once more to the moors, crossing the Longshaw Estate en route to the end of our walk in the Fox House pub!
