| Study of Lake District's unique qualities |
Thursday 03 May 2007 |
A survey is to be carried out in the Lake District to determine what makes the area so special, lakelandradio.co.uk reports.
The Lake District Landscape Character Assessment project will be conducted by out by the National Park Authority in conjunction with Friends of the Lake District, the National Trust and Natural England with the help of consultants Chris Blandford Associates.
The findings will be used as a way to highlight the unique qualities of the Lake District and will provide a point of reference about the National Park for anyone with an interest in the area including partner organisations and their customers.
What's more, upon completion of the research it is hoped that areas within the park that need changing or developing will be made more apparent.
The Lake District is a wonderful place to visit for a break, with gorgeous countryside providing spectacular views, as well as an array of activities including walking, cycling and pony trekking.
Anyone wishing to stay in the Lake District should consider the magnificent Forest Side Hotel in Grasmere.
Revitalise yourself with a fun activity break.
