| Reality show in Cotswolds for Llewelyn-Bowen |
Monday 28 May 2007 |
Ostentatious interior designer Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen is to star in his own reality TV show, filmed in the Cotswolds.
The former Changing Rooms host has moved into a run-down 17th century mansion worth £1.3 million with his family, and will be filmed as he tries to restore it for a new TV programme called To The Manor Bowen.
Llewelyn-Bowen told the Daily Express: "We're ready to move to the country but I don't know if the countryside is ready for us.
"A film crew will be following us around and I think the show will give people a very good insight into what is involved in the renovation process and will give people the confidence to attempt a large-scale renovation.
"It's going to be a challenge for us because we want to show the process from the architect's plans to the painting and wallpapering."
The house itself is located just outside of the village of Siddington, Glouc¬estershire. The Cotswolds is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is extremely popular with tourists as a result.
