| Free travel guide to Barcelona |
Tuesday 08 May 2007 |
A free travel guide to the Spanish city of Barcelona has been made available this week.
The free city pocket guide to Barcelona, from Flashbooking.com, contains valuable information for tourists who are planning to visit the municipality despite consisting of just nine pages.
Areas covered include worthwhile sightseeing spots such as the Palace of Catalan Music, the Foundation Joan Miro and the Picasso Museum, as well as the shopping mall and flea markets.
The downloadable guide also recommends eateries, bars, and entertainment venues.
Barcelona is one of the top city break destinations in Europe, and is well-known for its museums and galleries, its proximity to the sea, and its friendly atmosphere.
The number of people booking overnight stays in Barcelona, as well as Berlin and Prague, has increased by 550,000 every year since 2000, according to recent research by European Cities Marketing (ECM).
Tourism to cities in Croatia and Italy, along with several other countries, has also dramatically improved in the last seven years.
