| Ash to headline Newquay festival |
Thursday 24 May 2007 |
Indie band Ash have been confirmed as the headline act for a music festival in Newquay, Cornwall.
The Unleashed! Festival is due to take place on Fistral Beach from August 10th to August 11th this year, and the Irish band will perform during the final slot on the Sunday evening.
Paulo Nutini will headline on the Saturday. Other confirmed acts for the music festival include Guillemots, Scott Matthews, Newton Faulkner, Ben Taylor, Angus & Julia Stone and The Noel Prior Band.
The festival will be the finale to a week long event called Rip Curl Boardmasters, which is takes part on Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay and celebrates music, surfing and skating.
Newquay is one of Britain's most popular tourist destinations, mainly thanks to its sandy beaches, high cliffs, gorgeous coastline and bustling nightlife, and is regarded as the surf capital of the UK.
Any trip to the Cornish town would not be complete without at least one attempt to ride the surf, and with Speed Breaks you can enjoy a four-day stay in the holiday hot spot which includes just that!
