A guided cycling day around Richmond Park and the river Thames .
The day caters for all levels of ability and you can bring your own bike or hire one there. Experienced riders can take a longer and more difficult course.
- 9.30am Meet in Richmond Park on Sunday morning to register for the event. There's plenty of free parking if you're arriving by car. Meeting point is the cafe at Roehampton Gate after turning left at the park entrance. Roehampton Gate entrance is at the end of Priory Lane.
Bring your own bike if you've got one (mountain bikes, hybrids or touring bikes are fine). Otherwise you can hire one at the park for around £24.
This event is a leisure ride so you need to be able to ride a bike but just need an average level of fitness - don't worry if you haven't ridden a bike for a while! However if we have fitter riders who want to get some miles in we'll split the party into two groups for the ride before lunch.
- 10.00am Bike ride starts with a lap (or two laps for the fitter riders) of Richmond Park's excellent off road trail.
- 11.00am Short stop for snacks etc back at Roehampton Gate. We will then ride down through Barnes to the Thames path and continue down the thames path towards Richmond.
- 1.00pm Lunch
- 2.45pm return by bicycle to Roehampton Gate
- 4pm onwards - Relax back at the Roehampton Gate Cafe.
