The walk is a total of 8 miles with a break for lunch in the Chatsworth courtyard restaurant at the halfway point. The ornately decorated room will certainly add to the Christmas spirit while you enjoy a delicious hot meal. We recommend walking boots or trainers for this walk. Do bring some kind of waterproof and some water and snacks preferably in a small rucksack. Do bring water with you, especially if it is a warm day. The walk follows paths, tracks and country lanes in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales, taking you over hilltops to Chatsworth where there will be a picnic waiting for you! And then continue over Ball Cross, experiencing stunning views of the Peak District, as you make your way back to Bakewell.
