All Mountain Week at the Auberge sur la Montagne. It’s a chalet-hotel run for more than 10 years by English couple Sue and Andy and offers an unforgettable skiing experience.
After a hard days skiing you can drink tea and eat home made cakes while you relax around the open fire. Or perhaps gaze up at the 200 year old oak beams, while you relax on the large sofas in the Auberge’s spacious sitting room.
After tea you might want to try out the state-of-the-art outdoor hot tub and sauna installed in the garden. Dinner at 8pm is served in the candle-lit dining room. Then you can return to the sitting room to take advantage of the fully stocked bar.
Seriously we can’t recommend this place too highly! SpeedBreaks co-founder Ben has returned to the Auberge five times so it must be good. If you are used to British tour operator accommodation you will find its spaciousness and attention to detail a refreshing change!
Finally a word must be said about the excellent English speaking staff. A mixture of brits and Kiwis the staff are all incredibly helpful and to a man (or woman) enthusiastic and expert skiiers (or boarders) happy to share their experience with you. |
